毁林的后果
世界范围内的雨林面积还在减少.这真的没有什么不同吗？为什么有人担心一些植物,动物,蘑菇还有微生物会死亡？雨林通常是比较热而且潮湿的,很难达到一致,林中四处都有昆虫而且还有一些躲避的野生动物.
其实关注的不仅是一些失去的植物和动物,人类会失去更多的东西.由于热带雨林被破坏,我们自身的生活质量也受到威胁,与稳定的气候和当地的天气赌博,其它生存受到威胁的生物以及提供的生物多样性也大为减少.
在许多环境恶化的地区整个生态系统也到了崩溃的危险边缘,它对检查一些存在的环境的贫穷状况和预测森林的失去带来的潜在危害有重要作用.自然系统的持续失去,使得在未来自然对人类活动的承受力下降.
大量的毁林的直接影响发生在失去由热带雨林和相关生态系统提供生态保护的当地.这些为人类栖息地提供重要的服务,如防止侵蚀,控制洪水,提供水源,保护鱼类和授粉等—作用,这对世界的穷困人民非常重要,因为他们主要依靠着自然资源来支持他们每天的生存.森林的失去同时也减少了可提供的再生能源,如木材,药材,坚果和水果还有可捕猎的鸟类等.
